Andrea’s love of design started early - tagging along to building sites with her father, a joiner.
Somewhere between sawdust, site visits and colouring in old drawings, a fascination with how things are made and how people experience them began to take shape.
With over 16 years of experience across workplace, commercial and mixed-use projects, Andrea brings both curiosity and instinct to her work. A natural people person, she enjoys uncovering the story behind organisations and translating it into environments that feel authentic, purposeful and human. Andrea sees herself as a curator in many ways – shaping ideas, experiences and culture through thoughtful design.
At Hot Black, Andrea leads design thinking across the studio nationally, guiding teams and clients through the process from early ideas to realised spaces. Outside the studio, she’s equally busy curating life as a mum – proof that creativity, curiosity and a little chaos are often the best ingredients for good ideas.
