Hot Black was engaged to design CBRE’s new workplace in Adelaide, a 1,000 sqm space created to embody CBRE’s core values and commitment to creating dynamic, collaborative environments.
At the heart of our design is an activated front-of-house entertaining area, which serves as a central gathering space & an important reflection of CBRE’s business ethos, supporting client engagement and showcasing a welcoming atmosphere. This space, along with other client-facing areas, was designed with a strong emphasis on adaptability, allowing for seamless transitions between professional meetings, networking events, and collaborative sessions.
Reflecting CBRE’s significant presence in both the local and global property markets, the design palette was thoughtfully chosen to resonate with the brand’s identity. It emphasises CBRE’s role as an influential leader in the industry, while also introducing elements that reflect Adelaide’s local character. In keeping with CBRE’s commitment to fostering a flexible work environment, Hot Black implemented a variety of work settings, each designed to support different styles of working. These range from focused work zones to collaborative spaces, enabling employees to choose environments that best suit their needs while encouraging connections with CBRE’s global network.
Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the project. Aligned with CBRE’s ESG principles, Hot Black adopted a reuse-first approach by incorporating existing furniture wherever possible. This not only reduced waste but also minimised the environmental impact of the project. This commitment to sustainable design reinforces CBRE’s values, providing a workplace that is as environmentally responsible as it is innovative, and positioning the new Adelaide office as a model for modern, sustainable workplace design.
