Square is an innovative tech company that lets you accept tap-and-go cards, mobile wallets, and chip cards on the go without the need for an EFT machine. With a strong focus on collaboration and creativity, Square needed a space that would not only promote flexible working but would also encourage innovation.
Hot Black executed a wayfinding and graphics strategy that was uniquely Melbourne and engaged local street artist Ghostpatrol to produce artwork for the space. To encourage collaboration, multiple different styles of workplace settings can be found throughout the office.
Custom cabanas were designed to facilitate group meetings and more relaxed spaces could accommodate small informal catch ups. In addition to collaboration, there was also a strong focus on biophilic design. Health and wellbeing were key factors for this fit out, with a calming colour palette and natural materials used throughout.
This workplace perfectly balances the fostering of creativity with the tranquil environment for staff and visitors alike.
