Straying from the bland and plain, Mirvac commissioned Hot Black to design a Spec Suite space that - whilst still appealing to a large number of potential tenants - had an added layer of personality and to helped to differentiate it from other Spec Suites on the market.
The narrative for this tenancy needed to reflect a space that was both calm, yet energetic in nature. A combination of rusty oranges and deep blues contrast one another, perfectly finding this balance.
Elevated by the attention to detail, bespoke joinery items and a beautiful wooden feature-cladding shrouds the collaboration spaces and injects a feeling of warmth.
Upon entry, the polished concrete flooring pulls you into a feature collaboration area, with the pops of colour and feature lighting making this space so inviting.
Acoustic features throughout – including within the 6 and 10 person meeting rooms – have been carefully considered, and the breakout area just beyond the quiet rooms takes full advantage of the views of the Yarra river and Southbank precinct.
On the other side of the office, 36 workstations look out over the adjacent courtyard, highlighting the greenery both inside and out. and a central utility area which is accessible by all, continues the fun injection of colour into the BOH space.
Hot Black acknowledges the traditional owners, the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, on whose land we meet, share and work.
